Sarnia Maritime b.v. offers a wide range of advisory services related to safety, security and efficiency of vessel traffic in ports and coastal waters. This is built on extensive experience gained in the conduct of research, development and implementation projects world-wide, both for previous employers and as Sarnia Maritime b.v. Works range from the determination of specifications for vessel traffic services through to developing plans for emergency response, specification of dangerous goods reporting systems and the use of port community systems and single windows. Full regard is made of (international) guidelines and best practice (e.g. IMO, IALA, etc.).

In the Inland Waterway Transport (IWT) sector the principal has been involved in the development of River Information Services (RIS) from the outset. IWT also provides its own challenges with respect to specific services such as VTS. Adhering to the relevant (international) guidelines (e.g. PIANC, IALA, etc.) and industry standards, advisory services are provided on the application of all aspects of RIS and VTS.

Sarnia Maritime also prides itself in its extensive experience in both setting-up and managing implementation and development projects. These range from small-scale inception studies through to large implementation projects. Services are provided in all aspects of project acquistion and management.
